In 2019, Polina Andreyeva completed her graduation project based on Bulgakov’s novel, and then she posted her works online — for which we are deeply grateful; we hope that all graduates of art schools will follow her example (both in terms of putting their works online and, indeed, in choosing their topic). Sometimes I wonder how many graduation projects by young artists on the theme of The Master and Margarita have remained unpublished, and I feel an inexpressible bitterness. And as for how many artists might have chosen this novel for their final project but didn’t — I try not to think about it. But we digress. Let’s get to the point, that is, to the published portraits:
Woland

Azazello

Gella and Behemoth the Cat

Koroviev

The Master and Margarita

Pontius Pilate

Jesus Christ

And in conclusion — not a portrait, but a still life: Woland’s table
