The St. Petersburg artist Elena Kunina (who, incidentally, was born and raised on Patriarch’s Ponds) has been working with polymer clays for a quarter of a century. I am smitten with her creations: each doll exudes a vivid personality, and the craftsmanship—especially the minute detailing—is stunning. I am delighted that among her many works there is room for several Bulgakov characters.
Ivanushka Bezdomny

Koroviev‑Fagott (a former choirmaster with a tuning fork)

Behemoth with a primus stove

Pontius Pilate

Joseph Caiaphas, high priest of the Jews

Disheveled Stepa Likhodeev after a drinking bout—Woland has already treated him to a sausage.

Margarita with a sprig of mimosa (she was the starting point for the entire Bulgakov series)

Buffet manager Sokov with wine‑soaked trousers and a kitten on his head

The floating vampire Varenukha with a black eye

Annushka. A rather spooky lady…
