These illustrations by Natalia Pechenina were drawn as her diploma project while she was studying in the art department of Moscow State Pedagogical University. The outcome, in my view, is quite entertaining.
At Patriarch’s Ponds a glamorous Woland appears, dressed entirely in lace.

Despite his cast‑off clothes, Fagott is every bit as glamorous.

Even Berlioz is glamorous, desiccated and reduced to a skull, while the glamorous Woland—sporting glamorous earrings—holds a glamorous little crucifix in his left hand.

But the Roman legionary is downright brutal.

The Master has already gone gray despite his tender seventeen years—and yes, he is glamorous.

Kawaii Behemoth is so kawaii, nya!
