Aleksandr Fyodorov was born in Cheboksary in 1979. In 1994, he enrolled in the Cheboksary Art School in the painting department and successfully defended his thesis on the topic of "Self-Portrait" five years later. In the same year, he entered the I. E. Repin St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, joining the printmaking faculty in a workshop led by People's Artist of the Russian Federation V. A. Vetrogonsky. In 2005, Aleksandr defended his thesis on Chuvash Antiquity, a series of graphic sheets executed in lithography. In 2012, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Chuvash Republic. The artist's works are held in the collections of the State Hermitage, the Chuvash State Art Museum, the Novocheboksarsk State Art Museum, the Chuvash National Museums, and the Kirishi Museum (Leningrad Oblast), as well as in private collections in Russia, England, Germany, France, Finland, Lebanon, South Korea, and China.

In 2017, Aleksandr Fyodorov completed a three-year project on his etchings for The Master and Margarita. In February of that year, they were published in a print edition by Anatoly Danilov at the PiterOldBook publishing house in a limited run of 30 copies signed by the artist.
